Affiliated Women Intl™ (AWI) is both an online community for women, as well as face to face. Conceived in May, 2006, AWI has a growing online community of women across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and various countries in Europe.
AWI developed a small group model that provides a unique format for women, from all walks of life, to come together and grow personally and professionally. The “ConnectWorking”™ format encourages women to build strong friendships based on mutual honest, integrity & trust – relationships that go “beyond the business card”. AWI women have the freedom to be themselves as women first and business, professional, community volunteers and home managers second.
In keeping with its vision to enrich women the world over; AWI small groups are known as “Neighborhood Networks”. The concept of community is very strong within the AWI model & format. Currently, AWI Neighborhood Networks function in Indianapolis, Indiana & have recently launched in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
2011 marks the year that AWI will begin to expand it’s presence and influence across North America. A team of highly motivated, dynamic, skilled women have joined the AWI team to make this happen. Suzanne Cherek, Executive National Envoy is joined by Kimberly Mans, Chicago; Mary Dreesen, Tulsa; and Tina Volpe, Omaha. In January they will be joined by Maggie Wilch, Omaha.
The coming year holds great excitement for AWI and for women across the country as well. The “Decade of the Woman” is just one of the dynamic opportunities available to women who are long overdue for recognition earned and well-deserved!
